Vacation in Bulgaria Български

September 5th, 2007Category: My Life

I was about time for me to go on a little vacation. This year’s trip to Bulgaria was pretty nice. During the first week, my sister was back from Spain so I spent some time with her and my relatives. The second week Dary and I went to the Black Sea. This year we decided to go to Sozopol. We had a room reserved in advance and we also didn’t want to drive 4-5 hours to go there, so we took the bus. We were there on Monday morning and by Friday we visited most places in Sozopol, we enjoyed the nice food and the beach. On Friday, around noon our parents joined us. The plan was for them to join us that day, spend the weekend with us and then all of us to go back to Plovdiv on Sunday. When they arrived we went to the beach at Kavaci, because they wanted to be on a more quiet beach. It was a great luck for all of us that we didn’t see a single cloud the whole week. The weather was hot and the temperature of the sea was around 27-28C (80.6-82.4 F). The forecast for Sunday was that there will be a storm in the afternoon, so we were hoping not to rain. The whole day the sea was crazy. The waves were huge and it was great fun. Right when we decided to leave, so that the rain doesn’t catch us, the lifeguards put the red flags for forbidden swimming. When we left Sozopol, the rain started and on our way to Plovdiv there were some rather strong storms. We arrived at Plovdiv without any problems. That’s how the second week ended. The third week I met my old classmates and we went bowling :). Also I went to the embassy for a new visa, because my old one had expired. Actually, now that I think about it, that was the first week. We also had some problems with our tickets but we solved them easily. In the end we came back to the US on the second day of school and it didn’t seem like we missed much.
