Last week our new glass came in the mail. Canon 100MM f2.8L Macro. Incredible lens! This is the first 1:1 macro we own (and first L class). Immediately went out to a park for a test:

Same night I tried a couple of shots in the tank:

Yesterday, one of the scarlet crabs was hanging on the front glass so I decided to try some focus stacking and I think it came out pretty well for a first try:

The stabilizer on the lens doesn’t do much in macro mode, but for regular portraits it is excellent. Canon has done an awesome job with this lens!
